IntralatticeData
FEATURES
IntralatticeData currently have 9 topologies, which covers most of the topologies in Intralattice design software. The relative density of the lattice structure can be from 1% to 50%. Users can input the bulk material property based on the material used to fabricate the lattice structure. The Poisson’s ratio is from 0.2 to 0.4, which covers most 3D printing materials.
Unlike most simulation software, IntralatticeData is user friendly. It doesn’t require designers to have simulation background. The result will be shown up once the topology, relative density, the Young’s modulus and Poisson’s ratio of the bulk material are selected. All the results are saved to IntraLatticeData. Thus, there is no need for calculation. The result will show up immediately.
The results in the IntralatticeData are the effective Young’s modulus, shear modulus and Poisson’s ratio in three directions. The homogenized constitutive matrix is also presented. The value in the constitutive matrix can be directly used in the Finite Element software to assign material property. By a two step Finite Element Method, a Solid-Lattice structure can be simulated.
The result can be used to draw the Young’s modulus contour. Because the homogenized properties of lattice structure are anisotropic. The Young’s modulus contour can be used to understand the stiffness of the lattice structure along different directions.
The real experimental results will be available soon.
